From October 2024, Transport for London (TfL) introduced new safety regulations that raised the standard for the Direct Vision Standard (DVS). All HGVs operating in Greater London are now required to meet the updated Progressive Safe System (PSS) – designed to reduce collisions with Vulnerable Road Users (VRUs) such as cyclists and pedestrians.
